2nd Annual Jewish Book Festival

Congregation Agudath Achim will be holding its second annual Book Festival at the Jewish Community House, 133 High Street, Taunton.  Please come and browse the large selection of books and pre-order your holiday books now!

The Book Festival runs October 28, 2007 to November 11, 2007.

Book Festival hours are the following:

Sunday, October 28^th – 10am – 2pm

Thursday, November 1^st – 10am – 6pm

Sunday, November 4^th – 10 am -12pm

Tuesday, November 6^th – 10am -2pm & 5pm – 7pm

Thursday, November 8^th – 11am – 6pm

Sunday, November 11^th – 10am – 2pm

Congregation Agudath Achim is proud to have two special children’s book authors coming October 28, 2007 from 12pm to 1:30pm.

Laurie A. Jacobs, author of “A Box of Candles”, and Sarah Lamstein, author of “Letter on the Wind”, will each read from their books.

Sarah Lamstein will also present a shadow puppet show on the story of Chanukah.  Both authors will then speak on the subject of writing Jewish books.

Signed copies of their books will be available for purchase.  This is a great presentation for children age 4 and up and adults.

A drawing will also be held for several gift baskets of books and a grand prize gift basket that includes signed copies of the author’s books at the end of the presentation.
