Doing Your Part to Make Our Shabbat Minyan

When every member of our congregation age 13 and over commits to attending at least one Shabbat minyan every seven weeks, we will “make a minyan” and be able to fully celebrate Shabbat at the synagogue – especially the reading of Torah.

You’ll see that there are 21 Shabbatot after Yom Kippur through the end of February. We believe that most people have enough sense of their personal and family schedules to be able to commit to attending at least 3 Shabbat morning services within this time frame.

Some assumptions we’ve made and ask you to take into consideration:

• Shabbat B’Yachad is a logical time for Religious School parents to attend
• Secular holiday weekends, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, New Year’s, and February school vacation will be more difficult to fill
• Sisterhood Shabbat regularly draws a minyan through virtue of service participation

Please be sure to fill out a separate form for each Jewishly adult (over 13) member of a couple or family.

When you press “Submit” at the bottom of the page, your information will be collected and collated.  Reminder phone calls will be made at the beginning of the week before each Shabbat you've agreed to attend.  We ask that once you’ve committed to attend, that if your plans change you find someone to take your place.
