It is traditional for Jews to visit the graves of loved ones during the High Holidays, connecting us to our past, our traditions, and perhaps even to a sense of eternity. We will gather to share these moments, remember those who came before us, and recite Kaddish together. Reb Josh will also be available to sing the memorial prayer El Maleh Rachamim on behalf of anyone who wishes.
While we are there, we will dedicate the interfaith section of our cemetery, Harmony Park, as a Jewish burial ground—so that those buried there may rest as they lived: as full members of our Jewish community. We will need a minyan of volunteers to take a formal role in the dedication ceremony. If you would like to take part in this mitzvah, please contact Reb Josh.
