Brotherhood

The Brotherhood of Congregation Agudath Achim in Taunton is a dedicated group of men focused on building strong bonds of friendship and community. We believe in the power of shared experiences to foster camaraderie, provide mutual support, and strengthen our connections to our Jewish families within our congregation.

Through a variety of engaging events, we aim to create opportunities for fellowship and fun. Examples of the types of activities you can expect include:

  • Social Gatherings: Casual get-togethers like monthly “Kibbitz and Brews” at local spots, game nights at the synagogue, and informal dinners.
  • Outdoor Activities: Group outings such as hiking trips in the beautiful Massachusetts landscape, fishing excursions, or even attending local sporting events together.
  • Skill-Sharing Workshops: Opportunities to learn from each other through informal workshops on topics of interest, from cooking and woodworking to technology and finance.
  • Community Service Projects: Collaborating on initiatives to support our congregation and the wider Taunton community, reinforcing our commitment to tzedakah and social responsibility.
  • Educational and Cultural Events: Engaging discussions on Jewish topics, film screenings with relevant themes, or guest speakers on subjects of interest to the brotherhood.
  • Family-Friendly Activities: Events where we can include our families, fostering connections between our households and strengthening the overall congregation.

We warmly invite all men connected to Congregation Agudath Achim to join our brotherhood! You do not have to be Jewish to become a member. If you are a family member of someone in our congregation and are looking to forge new friendships, deepen existing ones, contribute to our community, or simply enjoy good company and engaging activities, we have a place for you. Come be a part of a growing and supportive group dedicated to enhancing the bonds within our synagogue family.
