A long time ago (last year) in a backyard not so far away… the Peckmans decided to throw a party! Since Lag BaOmer begins as the suns set on May 4th, we are merging the traditions of Mount Meron with the Way of the Jedi.
Whether you’re a Rebel, an Imperial, or just a fan of a good bonfire, come celebrate the 33rd day of the Omer with us.
The Provisions
- The Main Course: Gail and Mike Peckman are providing Kosher Beef Franks and buns.
- Choose Your Path: We will have steamed hot dogs ready to go, but for those who prefer the “Light Side” (or the charred side), we’ll have forks available to roast your dogs directly over the open flames of the bonfire.
- The Atmosphere: A roaring bonfire to honor Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and provide enough light to spot a Wookiee.
- The Uniform: Themed costumes are highly encouraged! Whether you’re a Jedi, a Rebel, or an Imperial, dress for the occasion.
What to Bring (The Cargo)
We’re calling on the Agudath Achim fleet to help stock the cantina:
- Galactic Sides: Bring your favorite Star Wars-themed snacks (Thermal Detonator dip, Vader-taters, etc.).
- The Hot Dog Bar: Bring your favorite toppings to customize your “Light-Saber” franks.
- Cantina Drinks: Please bring your own beverages (adult or otherwise) to keep your hydration levels high.
- S’mores for the Resistance: Bring chocolate, graham crackers, and marshmallows for roasting over the fire.
RSVP – It is Your Destiny!
Don’t be a “Scruffy-Looking Nerf Herder”—RSVP is a must so we can tally the clones! Please let Gail or Mike know if you are joining the mission by May 2nd.
Location: 51 Chris Drive

- “Wookiee Cookies” (for dessert)
- “Yoda Soda” (for the kids’ drinks)
- “Thermal Detonator” Meatballs or Dips
