Holidays

Our worship services are open to all. Whether on a shabbat or festival, special speaker or b’nai mitzvah celebration, we welcome your attendance and participation!

Sabbath Services:

  • We hold Shabbat Shacharit (Morning Services) most Saturdays at 9:30am. This service runs about 2 hours and includes a Torah Service and an engaging Torah Study or sermon.
  • Erev Shabbat (Evening Service) is held on the third Friday of each month, beginning at 7:00pm. Erev Shabbat is more musical and lasts for about an hour.
  • Join us for schmoozing and fellowship after each Service! All of our Services are followed by a Kiddush or Oneg in the Ruboy Vestry. All are welcome!
  • During the school year, on the first Saturday of the month we hold a Shabbat Rishona service geared towards youth and families. The Service goes until 10:15am, followed by family learning and Kiddush.

Festivals and Observances

We celebrate all major Jewish holidays as a community, including full High Holiday services using Mishkan Hanefesh, a Hanukkah party, a Purim Megillah reading, and a community Seder for Passover.

We occasionally observe minor holidays such as Tu’bishvat and Lag Ba’omer as well.

Check our calendar to see what’s coming up.

Other Information

  • Congregation Agudath Achim uses Mishkan Tefillah for Gatherings, a Reform siddur (prayerbook). We keep one foot in Liberal Judaism while holding to time-honored traditions from our Orthodox and Conservative past.
  • Our Services can be accessed in-person and virtually on YouTube.
  • All Services are led by our Spiritual Leader, Reb Josh.
  • Any person who is seeking to worship, learn about Judaism or just connect with the Jewish community is welcome to attend our Services, regardless of religious affiliation or identity.
  • We only ask you to please be respectful of our sacred space.
  • The vestry kitchen is kosher/dairy and we request that nobody bring food into the synagogue building unless it is certified kosher and in coordination with Sisterhood who maintains the kitchen. Personal water bottles are allowed in the temple and vestry but not in the kitchen. If you have any questions, please contact Reb Josh.
